Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy Department at the Center for Children with Special Needs specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory-motor deficits, learning disabilities, and other developmental disorders.

Evaluations

Administration and interpretation of standardized assessments, including the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test, to address visual-motor integration, fine motor dexterity, sensory processing, motor planning, and perceptual processing
Unidisciplinary and interdisciplinary evaluations performed with the other members of the Center's Team (psychologist, speech and language clinicians, special education)

Consultation with caregivers and school personnel to assist with IEP development.
